Accidentally deletet crypted LVM partition with gparted
« on: March 27, 2013, 11:47:05 PM »
I accidentally removed my crypted LVM-Partition (with gparted). I recreated a new partiotion with same dimensions an no fs (with gparted). But now luksopen don't accept my passphrase.

Than i changed the uuid so the original(with luksuuid), which i have extracted from the initrd-image of /boot. Same problem. I changed it back to the wrong one.

Than i hardcoded the uuid in the head of the parttion (dd if=/dev/sda2 bs=1 count=1 | sed s/worngUUID/originalUUID/g). Same problem. (No key available with this passphrase.)

Any Ideas how i can get back my data? Thanks
Bastian
