OpenOffice 3.2
« on: February 27, 2010, 03:36:13 PM »
I carefully follwed the instruction here :
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-install-openoffice-3-2-in-ubuntu.html

But having removed 3.1 the install procedure fails at :

laptop:~$ sudo dpkg -i ~/Desktop/OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/*.deb
dpkg: error processing /home/phillip/Desktop/OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/*.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /home/phillip/Desktop/OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/*.deb

OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483 is visible on the desktop ...

I am now left without OO having followed earlier instruction to remove.

Yes - many thanks
FYI the GUI install failed with
bash: ./setup: No such file or directory

but second method worked fine.
