How to make vpn with username and password interface(login) to same ubuntu 8.04

I'm site manager and in my internet cafe work with ubuntu 8.04 vpn connection
i want install ubuntu 13.04 but the problem is:ubuntu 13.04 no have interface login for input username and password
How to make vpn with username and password interface(login) to same ubuntu 8.04??
