Note: wicd only works for wired &wireless networks how to get it 1)open up a Terminal
2)Then install it by typing or copying & pasting
sudo apt-get install wicd 3)exit by typing :
exit the next step only aplys if your a wireless user or you set you ips . 4)opening the apps menu go to internet choose wicd manger .
-you can uninstall the gnome network manager in Synaptic Package manager
TroubleshootingIf Wicd fails to connect , make sure that the only entry in your /etc/network/interfaces file is
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback check by typing
gksudo gedit /etc/network/interfaceslinkshttp://wicd.sourceforge.net/happy ubunting !!!
