Patchy Text appearing in web browsers

[No come here]

I've tried several web browsers but can't stop the patchy text from appearing, especially on the standard fonts of CNN.com, Yahoo.com... Even if I enlarge fonts or zoom it's still patchy.

Is there a font pack that I have to install? I'm a complete n00b, so any help would be appreciated.
