External Hard Drive
« on: June 01, 2010, 07:44:34 AM »
I am using Ubuntu 10.4. I would like to experiment with Backup Utilities, e.g. Simple Backup and/or Deja Dup.

I used my external drive successfully with Windows systems, but Ubuntu 10.4 doesn't even recognise my external drive. Please help?

It is a generic 120 GB 2.5 inch USB2 Hard Drive.
Supports standard 2.5 inch IDE or SATA Hard Drives.
Supports Hi-Speed (480 Mbps), Full Speed (12 Mbps) and Low Speed (1.5 Mbps) Data Transfer Rates.

I have successfully used this drive for back-ups using Vista and prior to that Windows XP.
