Im new to the forums but not to linux. I have an issue which has been bugging the hell out of me for ages.
I am running @ home, 10.04 Server with 2 HDD. I x 320GB & 1 x 2TB. I use the 2TB to store all my films & series etc. No OS runs on this & so I require every lasy byte for storage. The annoying thing is when I run
df -h it tells me that I have only 1.8TB available. Its reserved 1% for the system. I remembered there was a command to free up all blocks so after rummaging through my linux books again and googling I found again the 'tune2fs' command.
So my 2TB is listed as /dev/sdb1, so I run tune2fs -m 0 /dev/sdb1. I run df again & I still see 1.8TB no 2TB.
I have run this command with the drive unmounted & mounted. Restarted the system even & still no joy.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone can shine some light on this as 200GB is a lot to relinquish for s storage-only device.
Thanks for your time in advance...
