SendEmail and Nagios

I'm having problems sending emails to myself username@domainname.com however I'm able to send emails to my gmail account flawlessly.

I've found this http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1268015

but how do I get it to work with nagios?

Hi

check ur firewall that port 25 is open or not..
or service ie running or not.
