any thoughts on which is the best? i'm currently using transmission on 8.04 server, but after downloading for some time the system becomes sluggish when i try to remote to it (ie, mounts, ssh, transmission webui, etc.). i was thinking of switching to rtorrent, but wanted to get some input from other with successful setups.

I don't use command line clients myself, but from what I've seen, rtorrent seems to be the most popular, which that doesn't happen by accident. This might help though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_BitTorrent_clients
