How to configure LINUX/DACMAGIC/DRIVER for optimal sound results

OS: ubuntu studio 64
DAC: dacmagic 2, USB
DRIVER: alsa

SOFTWARE:
after testing: amarok,totem,audacious,deadbeef, etc...
i found that SMPLAYER is better.

How to configure LINUX/DACMAGIC/DRIVER for optimal sound results ?
