Adding and removing mp3's etc on ipod nano?

I have an Ipod nano and when I have windows I filled it up with music.

Now I've Ubuntu installed and I'm trying to remove certain songs and add certain songs but nothing I try seems to work.

When I plug it in it comes up connected and it chargers but nothing come up in Banshee or Rythembox.

I'm using 11.04.

I'd be grateful for any help.

To fix the above problem follow this procedure

1. Go to your home folder (Places>Home Folder)

2. Press CTRL+H

3. Navigate to .gconf>apps>rhythmbox>state>ipod

4. Delete %gconf.xml file (it will be recreated the next time you start rhythmbox)

5. Restart rhythmbox

That’s it now your should be able to view your music files in your iphone/ipod

Still getting nothing
