Perl librarries broken?
« on: September 04, 2010, 01:36:44 PM »
Hello,

I have had problems for a few weeks now, it's not stopping the system functionally bu updates appear to be broken. The problem is with linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic_2.6.32-24.41_i386.deb. I have tried to remove that and .42_i386.deb with a

Code: [Select]
sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic_2.6.32-24.41_i386.deb
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

but I'm getting the same errors as the update manager gives:

I have some older kernels so I guess I can try them?

Also this is a dual boot system and the Vista partition is really a mess, I'm planning to back that up and completely re-install so it's a possibility to do that on linux too, I've backed up a tar to an external drive now so I can do that if I need, but this is Linux for heavens sake not Windows, I shouldn't need to re-install right :)
