trying to install Warcraft3 on Ubuntu Server 10.04.1

My son and I are brand new Ubuntu users.  We have installed Ubuntu 10.04.1 server edition.  We are trying now to install Warcraft3 so we can setup a server in the online game.  First, We tried wine, but after installing the first disk of Warcraft3, we tried to install the expansion and wine could not find the initial install, so it will not allow us to install the second disk.  The second attempt was with vmware, but we keep getting an error, because Ubuntu does not recognize the Windows 7 disk we are trying to use (full professional version).  The virtual machine is never setup.  Third, we tried virtual box, but we run into different errors and it never fully creates the virtual machine.

I would like suggestions from anyone who has run Warcraft3 (32 bit, older game) on Ubuntu 10.04.1 (64 bit server edition) on the best way to begin setting this up.
