Netflix streaming in Ubuntu - tricky!

For those of you who don't already know it, the "watch instantly" feature of Netflix is not available for Linux in native form; it's restricted to Windows (using Sliverlight) and Mac OSX.

There's a Facebook page pretty much demanding a native player for Netflix, which certainly won't hurt. However, in the meantime...

My thought is this: How can we "trick" the OSX player to install in Ubuntu without using virtualbox? OSX is based on BSD, so the native code will be somewhat similar.
