I have been using 11.10 on my Acer 5920g laptop now for a few months and love its speed and simplicity. It is currently installed alongside Windows Vista, but I find myself using Windows very little indeed. I am now wondering if i should just replace it altogether and do a complete reinstall, deleting everything and just having Ubuntu on there.
Will this make a massive difference to the speed of my machine? I only kept windows installed in case i didnt get on with it and incase i needed to use Itunes on it again, but i haven't. I have all the recovery dvds if i wish to go back to windows so thats not a problem, i just want some opinions as to wether it will make any difference other than not having the boot screen appear on startup?
Looking forward to hearing from you
Cheers
Chris
