Need Help with Server try to install confluence.

I am a newb.  I am try to install a Confluence server on a VPS. The server is just the standard Ubuntu 10.04 install.

I cannot use open source Java that Ubuntu comes with and need to install Sun Micro Java.

The command lines I have tried to add the repository was....

sudo add-apt-repository “deb http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid partner” no luck. I have spent hours searching.  Frankly I am sure I am messing up how to add a repository.  Help would be most epic and appreciated.
