How to host a Virtual world server on the web using Ubuntu

I want to host a a virtual world server on the web, the engine is open wonderland, they suggest Ubuntu, but i have a very basic knowledge about administrations side, i can follow the proper instructions if you provide, would you please help me to understand how to launch such server on the web for other to access my virtual world server, i really appreciate your support.
