12.04 Fully Automated Installation

Hi all,

I'm attempting a fully automated installation of 12.04 server, and have almost attained what I'm looking for.  HOWEVER - I'd like to set up a manner of install that allows to set the root account password (not a user pw), determine whether or not the user wishes to install DHCP setup or Static, and continue from there.  I do not wish to make multiple preseed files for my alteration and want to keep this a one shot deal.  Can I get some guidance on the best way to move forward?  Install has to be for network and from disk installations.
