Hello all.
I'm a
Semi-NooB
running Ubuntu 12.04(Precise Pangolin).
I don't know if this has happen to any other NooBies, but you're trying to delete a file and the only way to do so is by root; yet when you do this procedure your hard drive space does not change or free up.
That's because your root trash bin is full of said deleted items. So I went Goggling on the web for help, but no straight answer.
Well here's what I've done pretty simple if I must say so myself.
First open
Nautilus
(Root):
Open a
Terminal
window or just click
Ctrl
+
Alt
+
T
, then...
type
sudo nautilus
Second scroll to the
Nautilus
menu bar
select
Go
select
Trash
then
Nautilus
will prompt on the top right of your screen, there will be two options
press
Empty Trash
and
you're
done
Enjoy!
