'Places' menu in Gnome doesn't work
« on: October 30, 2010, 07:48:05 PM »
In both Lucid and Maverick, the Places menu in Gnome stops working.  Or only partially works, more correctly.  The folders 'Home', 'Desktop', 'Documents', 'Music', 'Video', 'Pictures', and 'Downloads' can't be accessed by clicking on the appropriate icon/word.  But, if you scroll down to 'Computer' and click it, then the same options and others will come up and you can access the folders there.

I tried resetting them individually but I'm not versed well enough to do it correctly...or it still just fails to work after I do.

How do I fix this?

Thanks for the help, in advance!
