Title: Tomcat problem - setting it up to host a webapplication from my computer.,
Post by: nanogopi on October 13, 2010, 08:55:45 PM
Hi friends,

Am trying to host a small web application from my lucid lynx box., I basically need to be able to access the web application using the Dynamic ip address assigned to my computer by my ISP., i am able to host it on tomcat and able to get the application working by typing the url http://127.0.0.1:8080/myapp. But am unable to access it while am on the internet, using the public ip of my computer from whatismyipaddress.com., eg: http://<my public ip>:8080/myapp., am unable to get it open. My firewall also is disabled. I am behind a DSL router that uses PPPOE to connect to internet., I am just a beginner., Any help is greatly appreciated.,

Thanks in advance.,
